The Contract Process

There are two types of contract that we use with you as an instructor and we've tried to make the process of working with these as painless as possible!

Any contracts will be sent to you via email, by your editor. You don't need to download or print anything!

Master Services Agreement

When we first deal with you for the very first time, you'll need to sign our "Master Services Agreement". It stipulates our working terms, and covers issues such as assigning ownership of content, how we pay you, how we deal with issues such as plagiarism, and how you're able to use content on your own site.

Project Order

Once you have signed the Master Services Agreement, you can start working on your tutorial or course. All the details of each tutorial should be agreed with your editor (cost, delivery dates, length, and so on).

In some cases, there may be a need for a more formal agreement for a particular tutorial/course (or series), rather than just agreeing the details via email. In this case, you will be sent a "Project Order" to sign.

Retained Content

When you submit content, it may often include content that you want to keep the rights to. This might be a set of personal photographs, a WordPress theme, graphics, icons, or anything else. If you do not want to assign the rights of this part of the tutorial or course to Envato, just let your editor know.
